It’s finally here! The official trailer for Disney Channel’s new Original Movie How to Build a Better Boy is finally here! After the movie’s preview teaser trailer, we were already excited, but now with a look at what it’s really going to be like, we just can’t wait! China Anne McClain and Kelli Berglund both look AMAZING in the movie. Their characters are so cute and their outfits are even cuter – and don’t even get us started on Albert, played by brand new hottie Marshall Williams!

Ready to learn how to build the perfect boy, from the pros themselves?!

China Anne McClain and Kelli Berglund are making their debut on the big screen in the newest Disney Channel Original Movie, How to Build a Better Boy, premiering Friday, August 15!

In the newest DCOM, Gabby Harrison (played by China Anne) and Mae Hartley (played by Kelli Berglund) use design software that belongs to Mae’s father, to conduct a high-definition version of Mae’s fake boyfriend, Albert, her perfect guy! However, when Albert comes to life as an advanced robotic soldier, the two BFFs learn that Mae’s father works for a top secret military branch, which is now in pursuit of Gabby and Mae, as well as Albert, to ensure he doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. Uh-oh… sounds like trouble!

China Anne and Kelli will also be singing their own song, “Something Real,” which will be featured on the HTBABB soundtrack! The soundtrack will be released by Walt Disney Records and available Tuesday, July 29 on iTunes.

The Disney Channel Original Movie which airs, Friday, August 15, centers around two tech-savvy BFFs who decide that instead of dealing with real boys, they’ll just create their own.

Pretty soon, a trend catches and all the girls want to create their own personal boy.

While their plan seems bulletproof, things eventually go haywire when they realize, the computer they used to create dreamy Albert is actually top secret federal property! Yikes.

First of all, can we just say that we love both Kelli Berglund and Ashley Argota? Both girls are incredible, and we can’t wait to see them in How to Build a Better Boy, so when we heard that they were also teaming up for a special episode of Disney Channel’s Lab Rats, we totally freaked out!

The special hour-long episode titled “You Posted What?!?” premieres at 8:30 pm tonight and features the two girls pitted against each other once again. After a video of Adam, Bree, and Chase showing off their powers gets leaked, the Lab Rats get captured and have to figure out a way to save themselves! Oh, no!

We sat down with Ashley and Kelli to talk to them about their experiences working together and what it was like to be on set. Check it out!

“You would not believe how excited I was when I found out Ashley was going to be on the show!” Kelli said. “We always joke that no matter what character she plays, we always end up being rivals; yet, she’s actually the sweetest girl in the entire world.”

Ashley was on exactly the same page! “We laughed when we read the script because we play enemies in Lab Rats, and we also play enemies in How To Build A Better Boy, but in real life, we’re friends!” Ash said. “We’ll have to find a project one day where my character doesn’t despise her character.”

Maybe one day! Until then, the girls apparently have fun just getting to work together, whether or not their characters get along. “Working on Lab Rats was such an amazing experience. It had been a few months since I worked with Kelli on How to Build a Better Boy, and I was hoping to surprise her at the Lab Rats table read, but someone told her that I was coming beforehand. It was a failed surprise, but I did have a BLAST working with her again!” said Ashley.

Ashley also took a moment to tell us about her favorite on-set memory! “We had to learn a really complicated fight scene. We were terrified that we were going to hit each other accidentally, so we would stand really far away from each other and throw our punches and kicks in the air instead of at each other. We finally listened to our stunt coordinator and did the fight standing closer together, but we were so nervous every time we did the scene! Thankfully, there were no mishaps.”

Wow! It sounds like the whole experience was so much fun, and Ashley agrees!

“Kelli and the entire cast were wonderful to work with, and I had such a great time with everyone. Shout out to the cast for making me feel so welcome and shout out to the crew and producers for writing such a fun character to play and for always making me feel so at home on their set. I have so many great memories from working on Lab Rats.”

In her upcoming DCOM, How To Build A Better Boy, Kelli Berglund plays one of two tech-savvy BFFs (China Anne McClain plays the other) who use a little technology magic to build themselves the perfect boyfriend. In real life, Kelli would probably rather focus on building the perfect shoe.

Kelli admits she’s absolutely obsessed with shoes. In fact, her favorite red carpet looks revolve around her shoes. “Since I’m not very tall, I like to wear super-tall shoes, especially heels that have a little bit of platform to them, which makes them more comfortable. I’ve been trying to make shoes more of a statement [at events] with something colorful,” she says.

But Kelli’s shoe obsession doesn’t stop there. When asked about her dream shoe purchase, Kelli said, “I am dying to own a pair of Louboutins. There is a white style with spikes on them, and I’m saving up and waiting for the right moment. I look forward to the day that happens soon.”

And who would Kelli love to switch closets (or shoes) with? Fellow Disney Channel star Zendaya, of course! Kelli dished, “I follow her on Instagram, and she’s always posting shoes of the day or shoes she loves. When she wears tall shoes, she’s so powerful. I have actually gone to a stylist and said, ‘Let’s find shoes like this. I have shoe envy.’”

Tiger Beat: What was your favorite part about recording this song?

China: My favorite part about recording ‘Something Real’ was working with Rock Mafia again. I adore them and LOVE it anytime I get to be in the studio with such a talented team!

Kelli: My favorite part about recording the song was feeding off the great energy China and I had! We bonded on a musical level and honestly had so much fun during the process.

Tiger Beat: Do you have a favorite lyric?

China: My favorite lyric from ‘Something Real’ was …’this perfect life is an imperfect puzzle sometimes.’ I love this lyric because it is so true. My life is perfect to me because I get to live my dreams but it’s not without problems such as, lots of time away from family & friends and relentless hard work.

Kelli: My favorite lyric would probably be the beginning of the chorus: ‘I’d trade it all for something real.’ This applies to not only my character in the movie, but also real life. It’s important to find something true and honest and REAL, rather than being surrounded by false happiness.

Disney Channel’s How to Build a Better Boy comes out this Friday, August 15, and we’ve been counting the days. The movie seems awesome – China Anne McClain and Kelli Berglund have clearly been working their butts off, and we can’t wait to see all their hard work!

China and Kelli aren’t the only people who’ve been working hard, though! The other stars have also been putting in their time and effort to make this movie great!

To give them the recognition they deserve – and to get you guys just as excited as we are – we hit up stars Ashley Argota (Nevaeh Barnes), Marshall Williams (Albert Banks), Noah Centineo (Jaden Stark) and Matt Shively (Bart Hartley) to ask them some questions!

BOP&TB: Ashley, how would you build a better boy?

Ashely: My better boy would have John Legend’s voice, Jimmy Fallon’s sense of humor, Brad Pitt’s humanitarianism, McDreamy’s hair, Derek Hough’s dancing skills, Justin Timberlake’s kindness and humble upbringing, Matt Damon’s acting skills, Ed Westwick’s accent, and we’d have a relationship like Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield. Oh! And he would have Ryan Gosling’s charm. And physique. And face. Just… Ryan Gosling in general.

BOP&TB: Marshall, you play a perfect boy in the movie, but what’s your worst habit that you’d like to change in real life?

Marshall: Forgetfulness. It’s so bad that sometimes I walk into the kitchen for food and forget why I went in.

BOP&TB: Matt, how do you think Gabby (China Anne McClain) and Mae (Kelli Berglund) would want to change your character, Bart, to make him a “better boy”?

Matt: Mae and Gabby would want to change a lot of things to make Bart the perfect boy. For starters, I think they would make him a lot less of a loose cannon. They would have to pump him with a lot of relaxation. I’d say they would also change his style. He doesn’t really know how to dress. Matching is not in his vocabulary. And last but probably not least, they would wanna change his hair. I made sure to have a weird hair style while filming which was just parting my hair down the middle. Although by the end of the movie maybe Gabby wouldn’t want to do anything. Maybe I’m already her perfect boy

BOP&TB: Noah, how about you? What do you think Gabby and Mae would want to change about Jaden to make him a “better boy”?

Noah: I feel that HTBABB is about accepting peoples “flaws” and seeing that people’s imperfections make them perfect, so I think both Mae and Gabby wouldn’t change anything.

Star Wars is one of the most-referenced movies in all of pop culture – Ariana Grande did it for her “Break Free” lyric video and Kickin’ It had a whole Star Wars inspired dream scene – but these Disney stars took the sci-fi love to a whole new level with Star Wars Rebels inspired outfits!

Rowan Blanchard, Oliva Holt, Piper Curda, Skai Jackson, Kelli Berglund and G. Hannelius all took a road trip together to the Letterman Digital Arts Center (LDAC) – AKA the home of Lucasfilm, the studio behind the movie! – to do a Star Wars Rebels-themed photo shoot. The girls posed in their geek-tastic outfits, took selfies and hung out and even visited the famous Golden Gate bridge!

Everyone looked so fashionable and fierce in their outfits, and we got the exclusive chance to talk to the girls about what they were wearing and what the trip was like!

Kelli Berglund and Spencer Boldman from Lab Rats have something to be extra excited about with this week’s all new episode, which airs Monday, October 13 at 6:15 p.m. ET/PT on Disney XD. Tiger Beat: We love seeing Disney stars playing guest roles on other Disney series. What was it like working with Karan Brar?

Kelli Berglund: Karan is not only hilarious, but also one of the sweetest guys I know! We all loved having him on set, it was a blast.

Spencer Boldman: He’s a talented kid, but most importantly he’s respectful and professional. Always cool to see kids like him that have a good head on their shoulders.

Tiger Beat: Having Los Angeles Dodgers player Andre Ethier on set must have been pretty exciting. Are you a fan of baseball and following the playoffs? Are there any funny, behind-the-scenes stories you can share about working with him on set?

Kelli Berglund: It’s a bit ironic that I’m a huge San Francisco Giants fan, but I was definitely star stuck when I met Andre Ethier. He was a great actor (especially for having very little experience) and remembered his lines perfectly!

Spencer Boldman: I love baseball and was an even bigger fan of Ethier after working with him. I met him and I was wearing a giant dingo head for the scene which was pretty embarrassing but he was a pro and fun to work with.

Olivia Holt is the new face of Wallflower Jeans (amazing), so we obviously had to stop by a Wallflower event to snap some pics! Not only were there a TON of jeans lining the walls and racks, but Olivia also brought along some friends! Piper Curda, Kelli Berglund, Ryan Newman, Daphne Blunt and Olivia spent the day browsing through racks of clothes, trying on different hair accessories and even took the time to sign some autographs! Kelli Berglund You can’t act suspicious! Even when trying to play it cool and casual, it may come off contrived. Plan ahead, be patient, and sit back and laugh.

Lab Rats is getting in the holiday spirit with this week’s brand new episode “Merry Glitchmas”! Kelli Berglund: I absolutely love the 1964 version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Such a classic.

Tiger Beat: If you could spend the holidays anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Kelli Berglund: It would be quite different yet extremely fun to spend the holidays in a tropical location like Hawaii or the Bahamas. But, there is honestly no place I’d rather spend the holidays then at home with my family
Spencer Boldman: This is a hard one, probably Maui.

Tiger Beat: Do you have a favorite holiday outfit?
Kelli Berglund: You can’t go wrong with an ugly Christmas sweater! So ugly it’s almost charming.
Spencer Boldman: I got a onesie the last time I was in Australia and it looks kind of Holiday-ey so I’ll probably throw that on.

Chase is severely injured in the process so Kaz and Oliver take him to the “Mighty Med” hospital to treat him. Meanwhile, Adam, Bree, Chase and Skylar try to track down the Incapacitator before it’s too late.

“Cali Girls” had the time of their lives August 23, as R5 hit the stage at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, California, as a stop on their “Sometime Last Night” tour! We joined the fun, so we could give YOU the scoop on everything that went down at the concert! Before the show started, we spotted so many celebs in the audience that we didn’t know where to look. When we got to our seats, we noticed some of Riker’s Dancing With The Stars co-stars sitting directly in front of us. We also spotted Olivia Holt, Kelli Berglund and Ross’ Teen Beach 2 co-stars Garrett Clayton and Jordan Fisher. So awesome!

After DJ Ryland spun some ahhmazing tunes, it was time for the opening act and Radio Disney’s NBT Jacob Whitesides to perform. He covered “Don’t” by Ed Sheeran, and we loved singing along to his hit song “Billboard (If I’m Honest)”!

Next R5 took the stage, and once we were able to catch our breath, we noticed just how amazing they all looked! Riker awed us in his too-cool white jeans with his blue bass in hand. Ross was incredibly dreamy, as always, with a bandana around his neck, and his messy blonde locks floating in the wind. Rydel was a total knock-out in her gorgeous magenta dress, and after performing “Lightening Strikes,” Ratliff even told the crowd “I know she’s cute, you don’t have to tell me!” Oh our Rydellington hearts! Rocky was rocking a man bun, and showed off his electrifying guitar skills during Ross’ cover of “You and I.”

The concert was a double celebration, as it was also the Lynch’s mom, Stormie’s birthday. Half way through the show, the band led the audience in singing “Happy Birthday” to her. She had the biggest smile on her face, and blew the band kisses from her seat in the audience. Other sweet moments included Ross’ heartfelt speech thanking the crowd for coming, the band’s acoustic performance of “Loud” and Rydellington being too cute for words. We had a great time dancing the night away!

Olivia Holt celebrated Kelli Berglund‘s 18th birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland! Kelli also brought along her younger sister, Kirra, to celebrate her special day!

“I  may be an ‘adult’ now, but I’m still 5 years old at heart [clearly],” Olivia captions her Instagram post. We’re glad this 18-year-old still knows how to have fun!
